Associate professor in Navigation sciences and Marine engineering at the University of A Coruña (Spain). Before working at the University, he works as seafarer during 20 years, the last of them as Ship Master. He has practical experience that shares with a great theoretical background about seafarers’ living and working conditions. He has written several articles and participated in different research projects related to his expertise field: the sea risks and seafarers’ safety and health protection. He is sun-director of Higher Technical College of Nautical Sciences and Marine Engineering.
