Advanced knowledge and more than twenty years of experience in higher education (University of Cádiz, Spain) in Maritime and Logistics Safety Policies. Former Dean of the Faculty of Nautical Sciences, Former Head of the Department of Maritime Studies. He is responsible of the R&D Group "Maritime Policy". Experienced senior professor. Present principal research interests in Maritime Safety: - Port State Control; and the Globalization in the Maritime Transport and its implications in Shipping and Logistics. - Trends in the Global market for crews and MLC'2006 implementation - Safety and specific risks in the artisanal fishing fleet.
